What are they?
Chatbots are personable virtual message assistants that can take part in intelligent conversations with users by following a prescribed algorithm and collecting rich real-time data. There are a number of existing platforms which allow people to host their own chatbot services. Lewis showed us various AIs that give users instant feedback or actions from a variety of services and products.
How could it enhance IC?
Chatbots could collect qualitative and quantitative data from employees, conduct conversations around organsiational change, provide real-time insights and communications on a more personable level, and (particularly in large organisations) act as helpful ‘buddies’ during the induction process.
